Trial Questions – Ebay Snipers! Which is the best Free Trial Ebay Sniper on the web?

March 9th, 2010 No comments

I rarely am that desperate to win an Ebay item but today I have seen one that I just MUST have! I know that some of the Ebay sniper tools offered on the web have free trials – usually 3 free snipes before you have to pay for the service. Which is the best sniper to use – ie one that is reliable, safe and puts in your bid in the very last seconds?

Thanks.

Best Answer: I’ve always used Hammersnipe.com, which gives you 3 free snipes per week. For a ‘freebie’ user, it will put the bid in in the last 20 seconds. If you chose to subscribe (which I do, because it saves me hovvering over my PC all evening, every evening!), then it will put it in in the last 3 seconds.

In 3 years, only had 2 incidences of it failing to put in bids, and one was a major software and hardware issue recently that’s now been resolved.

    • “awesome” was half right.
MalwareBytes found at http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_A… is a great spyware/adware/ virus remover.
But, he’ll get an argument about Kapersky.

Lokk at the Consumer Ratings by CNet
The good: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6 offers superior antivirus protection; has free and paid versions; supports Windows 98 through Windows XP.

The badThe bad: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6 rescue-disc process is a bit complicated.

The bottom lineThe bottom line: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6 is light and fast and consistently wins detection awards against the competition; it’s worthy of our Editors’ Choice designation.

I use AVG 8.0 Free and this is why:
When you use a search engine, the LinkScanner Safe-Search technology automatically marks known bad sites among the search results. The Active Safe-Surf module then kicks in to analyze web pages for infected and potentially-infected content before the user opens the page. So we’re reducing to an absolute minimum the risk that a user will accidentally click through to a web page that’s been poisoned with an invisible, transient hack.
You should advise your customers that multiple layers of protection – anti-virus, anti-spam, firewalls and web-threat scanning – are needed to ensure a safe computing environment.

Trial Questions – Is there a place where I can download a free trial of Photoshop CS5?

    February 27th, 2010 No comments

I’ve been told it’s out already, but I can’t find it online ANYWHERE.
and I would like to try it out before i buy it.

Best Answer: Don’t trust these fake rumors. They might lead you to a harmful site.

CS4 just came out about came last november or december to the public. It is very unlikely that CS5 will launch anytime soon. You need to wait about a year, maybe two.

CS5 will most likely play up to the 64-bit abilities of Windows 7 and OS X 10.6, so I imagine Adobe is working hard with the developer tool kits from both companies.

    • hi, CS4 is the lateset version, I have no idear about CS5, and have a try to http://downallsoftware.com/ , not free, but cheap , safe and in full version, good luck and enjoy

Trial Questions – Norton or McAfee on my new Vista PC. have McAfee as free trial and seems so slow?

    February 21st, 2010 No comments

My new PC came with a trial for McAfee and it seems to take forever to download pages. Are there any known problems?

Best Answer: The free versions of Norton and McAfee really don’t do much to help you. If you want free virus protection, the best ones are in order Avast, AVG and Avira-with AVG the simplest to use and least taxing your your system. These free downloads can be found at Download.com on the right side under most popular downloads. Of these free anti-virus applications, Avast has a slight edge among users according to CNET reviews which most regard as unbias because it publishes its own reviews and those of users who have downloaded the program and physically used it. AVG is also excellent and Avira is new and seems to be gaining a following. All are rated higher or equal to most of the software that charges you. All are also rated higher than Norton or MacAfee that you must pay for.

Statistically, of the pay for security software applications for windows, “Trend Micro” is rated the highest in satisfaction. That is the same rating as Avast. The benefit in using Trend Micro is that because it checks your computer running from it’s own servers and not from software loaded onto your computer, there is virtually no additional load on your processor.

In summary, if you want minimum interruption in downloads, Trend micro appears to be a way to go. The next best is ESET NOD32. If you can stand a little of the delay and want to save money, I recommend AVAST, Avira then AVG.

One other thing I did before I got my Mac and still do on the XP side is create a separate partition on my hard drive just from downloads. By doing that, you can turn off you virus protection when you download whatever you want (to increase the speed of the download) to that section of your hard drive with fear any viruses you download would affect the rest of your hard drive. Once the download is complete, you can turn your virus protection back on and run it on that part of your hard drive. It works great and very quick, once you know you have a clean download, you then can move it anywhere you like. Although almost nobody does this, I highly recommend this for anyone doing a lot of downloading. Many of my friend use to ask for my help when they go viruses from downloading. They use to get viruses regularly, but once I helped them with the partitioning, and showed them the ropes, none of them call me for help anymore on this unless they make a mistake a miss a step. For what it’s worth, I personally use Avast and occasionally a free version of Trend Micro. If ESET NOD32 were free I would be tempted to try it to replace Avast that is equally rated.

I have provided links to assist you in showing the reviews and hope it helps. Good question and security minded pre-emptive. I wish you the best.

    • Yes both of them are very large programs that’s why it slows your PC right down. They take up much space and every thing that you will link on to it will Analise with a fine tooth comb. But the other thing is I had Norton security for over a year I have now got rid of it and now am using AVG 8.0 free version I chose it because it has the best ratings for free ware. And it shows allot of stuff on the scans that the Norton didn’t. So I’m staying with AVG. It scans emails has protection guard and anti spy. It updates every day. Please try it out.

      Good Luck,

    • I have experiences with both. Don’t use neither. A better virus program is Kaspersky. It has multiple updates each day and catches more viruses then both Norton and McAffee.

    • Personally I have Norton and Find them Excellent for blocking, fixing and checking. They have never failed to inform me of any intrusion
on my PC and they Block and remove automatically.
    • Eset Nod32 Smart Security or Antivirus will not slow your PC down and one of the best detection rates.Lowest AV cpu system resource usage and a full indepth scan in under 3 hours Kaspersky same scan 6+ hours.
    • AVG free is good !
