Trial Questions – My free avg free trial is about to expire, it says to buy full version to continue use…?

March 10th, 2010 No comments

it says that i must buy full version to continue using it. i know that my friends have used it for years. what processes do i need to take to avoid being denied my next free 30 day trial, or even better, does any one know if you can keep using free avg without having to renue the software every month?

Best Answer: Uninstall what you have and go here to get a version of AVG that’ll never expire. http://www.filehippo.com/download_avg_an…

  • Yes you can continue to use it without purchasing it. You may want to uninstall the current copy. I am not sure if you installed the 30 day trial copy or the free version though. Download a new copy here:

    http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-F…

Install that copy and you shouldn’t get flagged to purchase the new copy.

  • You are using a free trial of the PAID version of AVG. The free version has no expiry.

But I must ask the question….why are you using such a piss-poor security solution in the first place?

Mostly n00bs, the naive, the computer illiterate, and children use AVG. People of their ilk love AVG because they say it is easy to use and almost never bothers them with any pop-ups or warnings. Of course AVG Free never bothers them, it hardly ever finds any virus to warn them about!

AVG has proven itself to be a miserable performer at best. Missing almost 20%, while trying to detect known malware, in some tests. Not to mention almost non-existent heuristic detection and infrequent “once-a-day” updates.

There are much better free anti-virus alternatives such as Avria Anti-Vir:
    http://www.free-av.com/
    and Avast:
    http://avast.com/eng/free_software.html

  • One advise, do not buy the full version and also do not install AVG free
It is not the best program at the moment to have on your computer.
When you want free protection install these programs

You can also protect your computer very well with free programs.
You should however not rely on just one program.
Install a combination of free anti virus and free anti spyware programs

    Anti virus and firewall pro

    or

    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht…
    in combination with
    http://www.pctools.com/firewall/

Threatfire is an anti virus, that can be installed next to any other anti virus program on the same computer
    http://www.threatfire.com/

This is a very good program, that completely runs in the background

  • I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, I have recently added superantispyware and Malwarebytes. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I have just upgraded to AVG free 8.0 and all seems good so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
  • Not sure why you only have 30 days, I don’t have a limited time – I used the link from here:

Trial Questions – Any way to get a free trial mascara?

March 2nd, 2010 No comments

i really want a free trial mascara. im not taking any recomendations because i just went out and bought a 27 dollar M.A.C mascara that does NOTHING. and im 14 without a job so thats kinda alot of money for mascara anyway.
but does anyone no any free trials i can get?

Best Answer: estee lauder and clinique have trial mascaras
ad their mascaras are great

  • Some makeup boutiques might give out those sample mascaras when requested. They’re like tiny tubes more or less.

I don’t know of too many stores that give free mascaras right away, but I find that once you make a purchase, sometimes you get free *sample* mascaras to go with that. Sephora, for example, let’s you take a sample every time you make an online purchase, but they don’t offer sample mascaras all the time, and you’d have to buy online, so…

If that doesn’t cut it for you, then just walk into Sephora and try the mascaras they have. You can’t take them home, of course, but you can at least apply them and see if they give you the result you like. You can also speak to a salesperson there to make sure the mascara you’re buying is worth your money. Or if you can’t manage to visit a store, just to go their website, www.sephora.com. You can browse through their mascaras and narrow down your choices by selecting the qualities you like: lengthening, curling, etc. Lots of ways to avoid wasting $$$!

I know Sephora isn’t the only makeup store, but I highly recommend it because of my past experiences at that store. They have the best customer service, and their products are pretty good — sure, some are really expensive, but I find that they’re worth your money. Do your research and good luck!

I would like to try this. Or is it a rip off?

Best Answer: I want to know if it’s real or not too. Cause if it is then wow… but if not, that’s a lot of money down the drain. http://www.shareup.net/Multimedia/Image-… I found this link, I’m about to try it out.

    • Did you try the Adobe website? That would be my first guess…….lemme guess…..you dont know what a search box is for! Type Adobe in the search box and hit enter! Just think what you can find now on your own! YOU’RE WELCOME!
    • This isn’t a trial. It’s full version, but it’s free.

      Go here: http://thepiratebay.org/recent
Type in “Photoshop” in the search bar and several versions will appear.

And you will need a bittorrent client to accomplish the download. Here is a good one:

Trial Questions – Is there anything similar to photoshop I can download a free trial of?

    February 23rd, 2010 No comments

I would like to know and something that’s safe

    Best Answer: Check out gimp.
    It’s free

    • Go to SnapFiles.com and in the freeware category under the Graphics and Photo category click Image Editors. There are several free programs that are pretty good–Gimp, Inkspot, Pixia, PhotoFiltre and Photoscape are some. Gimp will do the most but it is kind of difficult to learn; the others are easier.

Serif PhotoPlus 6 is also free and if you like it you can upgrade to a newer version.

    • Gimp is free, and a full version.

    • GIMP – its like photoshop but not as complex. and its free :)
    • I love Paint.net and it’s free also. I assure you it’s not your parents ol’ MS Paint…

    • Check out http://picasa.google.com/. I find it easy to use & it’s free!
    • photoscape.org
